Disasters and deliciousness

Do you remember my giant mirror project that I was super excited about until it blew up and shot shards of glass all over the house??

I remember it like it was yesterday...you can read about it in this post.

Anywho, I finally finished it! Craig dissected my computer to make his work better so I have just been waiting on an oppurtunity to sit down and show you! As you already know I painted the frame and added a silk background and decided I was going to hang pictures on it instead of attempting to make it a giant mirror.
I really love the frame. It's like alligator texture in the middle with perfect bumpy ridges. Me likey.

I had most of the pictures printed already...I just printed about 4 more and made a plan...

I started out with these cute push pins. They match the room, but I wanted something bolder and more girly.

So I yanked off the polka dot sticker thing, hot glued on some posterboard, and made a bunch of flowers to glue on top. They are so easy (besides glueing my fingers to poster board 8,000 times) and I think they add to the girliness of the room. No boys allowed! (except Turbo. Okay Craig too!).
I made different flowers for the big picture. I used the same poster board base, but I used flattened fabric and sheer white fabric as the flower. I hand sewed on a button over ribbon and burned the edges so they curled up a little.

Here's my little garden...I did them all while watching "Chuck and Larry" so it didn't take very long.

Then I took them all upstairs and started to pin!

It is a 4 foot cheery reminder of how lucky I am :)

Ok, so I think it's about time you took a trip up here to do my house now, k? So freakin' cute, although I'm sure my husband would object to so much frill! :)
